Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

In short: we collect the details you give us so we can get you a fire risk assessment quote, and we share them with the assessor we introduce you to. We don’t sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are

This website, nationalfireriskassessment.co.uk, is run by Andre Douglas, trading as National Fire Risk Assessment. For data protection purposes, we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@nationalfireriskassessment.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Quote requests: your name, email address, phone number, and the details you give us about your property and what you need, such as its type, size, location and when you need the assessment.
  • Fire safety check results: if you use our online fire safety check and ask us to email your report, your name, email address, your answers and your result, and whether you’d like a reminder when your assessment is due for review.
  • Emails: anything you send us by email.
  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP addresses and browser type in server logs, for security and to keep the site working.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To get you a quote: we pass your enquiry to an independent fire risk assessor who covers your area so they can contact you with a quote. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running an introduction service.
  • To send your fire safety check report: because you asked us to.
  • To send a review reminder: only if you tick the box asking for one. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To reply to you and keep records: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and dealing with any complaints.

We don’t use your details for marketing unrelated to your enquiry, and we don’t sell them.

Who we share it with

  • Fire risk assessors: the independent assessor we introduce you to receives your enquiry details so they can quote. If you go ahead, they become responsible for the data they hold about you under their own privacy policy.
  • Service providers who process data for us: our website host, our email provider, and HighLevel, the customer relationship system that receives our forms and stores enquiries. HighLevel is based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.
  • Where the law requires it: for example, if we receive a valid legal request.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and fire safety check data for up to two years from your last contact with us, so we can deal with follow-up questions or complaints, and then delete it. If you asked for a review reminder, we keep your details until the reminder is sent or you ask us to stop.

Cookies

We don’t currently use advertising cookies. Our quote form is provided by HighLevel and may set cookies needed for it to work. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to have it transferred, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To use any of these rights, email info@nationalfireriskassessment.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if we change how we use personal data, and change the date at the top.
